The idea of combining a visual piece with a vignette came to me not out of some romantic notion, but more out of a mining of my feelings about making art, living as an artist, and the brutal realities of life.
These pieces reveal very personal feelings. And although they probably appear overwhelmingly negative, that's not actually the case. They are moments in time along the path of my life. I have tried to be brutally honest about my feelings and to let the viewer/reader in on my struggles with the creative process, and therefore with myself.
You are the judge and jury, which is part of my artistic odyssey.
For me, I keep walking toward the light, always with determination and hope, no matter what is in my path!
